VP44 pump

At what point in your bombing project would you exceed the capacity of the VP44 or is there such a thing, I looked in the Tech facts section and did not see anything pertaining to this. Thanks for any input.

Re:VP44 pump

Exceeding Capacity on the VP44.
If you are asking at which point is the VP44 is "petered out" ?

I think a stock VP44 is capable of supporting a 550hp truck of course this is with large injectors, the air to burn the fuel, and a pusher setup and fueling box.
There are some trucks producing more hp on Diesel with a VP44, but not many. Some Trucks that produce more have a "tweaked" pump, and others producing more hp with a VP44 are using Propane or NOS or both.
There are some exceptions no doubt (further confusion!!).

Re:VP44 pump

I have to agree with Justin. 500+ hp out of a stock VP44 is about what I have seen to be the max. It just can't flow enough fuel.
