Most of it still applies, except for the puck part. I don't know how plate sizes and sliding them relate to the puck, but we are talking about approximately 60 hp and 90 ftlbs of torque in a puck or Edge EZ. Higher than that you will want to do some tranny mods.

If you have stock fueling, disabling the wastegate isn't going to do much. Boost might come up a couple of lbs., but you probably won't even feel the difference unless you can choke out some black smoke now.

Ok thats what I wanted to know. Maybe I'll wait till the tranny finds its way out, then I can have fun

From: Lingleville TX but active duty Air Force all over the world currently
This is advantageous if you have a box that can fool the computer, so it doesn't see over 21 PSI and set a code. The extra boost willl allow you to burn the fuel instead of making black smoke, giving you more power.

What comp.? What about us properly valved guys?

another Chris to chime in here......us "properly valved guys" don't need to worry 'bout the computer, as there are no electronic engine controls or monitors. Just delay the wastegate to fool it into opening later....via a bleed valve and line slug with a 1/16" hole in it.....and jockey that fuel plate around (preferably replace it it). Then test and tune till you get it right.

but be careful, the 12 valve guys have to worry about the transmission just like our younger brothers. Too much poop in the shovel and you're guaranteed to give the old mill a vacation while you treat her to a fresh helping of a new transmission.

Talking vise grips

Why not stick the .22 shell in the wastegate line and snap the vise grips on the return line
that should give you good performance!
