Viper Remote Starter & Cool Down Timer
I just got my viper 160 remote starter and am very pleased, but I do have one question. I need to change the time the turbo cool down timer is set for. It's set for 10 min. witch is to long. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

It's supposed to be easy, according the the owners manual, but I've tried and tried to turn mine down to 3 minutes, to no avail.
I'm thinking it needs to be hooked to the installers computer thingamabob to change the settings.
On mine it depends on how the valet switch was hooked up during install,
one way it's just a valet switch (which is how mine must be hooked up),
the other way it's the valet switch and programming button.

I went through the owner's manual front to back, found out that you could change it, but it didn't say how. I'm thinking it's in the install manual witch I dont have.

There's a thread going on the the 3rd gen accessories forum, a couple of DEI installers have chimed in, maybe you should go there and inquire?
Thread is "remote start"
