Very Specific Injector Question
As you can see by my signature I have an HO 6 speed
with RV275 injectors. I need to hear from other HO truck
owners that went from RV275 injectors to Mach 1.6 injectors.
Was there a big difference in power , and did the increase in
power justify the additional $700.00 expense. I tow , so please
don't suggest Mach 4's

I did not have the RV275s, but I have the Mach 1.6s now
They get a little toasty towing 5k or so in the mountains(5-8k). I downshift earlier and make sure not to let the RPM drop. This is with the Juice on Level One, with an AFE and 4" turbo back straight pipe. However, this is a 4wd truck with 35" tires and 3.54 gears. I could hit 1300 pretty easily if I got on it. Backed off or downshifted and dropped it below 1100. I try to keep it under 1150 pulling, for any amount of time.
For heavy pulling, I would stick with the RVs. For under 8k or so, you can get by with the 1.6s pulling, carefully.
I did not try turning my Juice off, and I have only towed once this summer(my towing is mainly in the winter months). Maybe with the box it would be cooler, but I have heard others say they run cooler on level one.
