Van Aaken Smart Box V5 or Diablo Sport Power Puck
Any comments (pro or con) on the Van Aaken Smart Box V5 or the Diablo Sport Power Puck for my '99? Also comments on the Edge EZ. Please help me with my decision.

I like my va but the gains are mild. I think imo it's the best for mileage and reliability - had trouble with ez. You really ought to save a little more money and go with a smarty. It sounds to me that it does it all with the adjustability for any whim and for everything that it'll do it is probably well worth the money. My va does allow a overboost code occasionally when I'm driving it hard.

I had the V.A. on my '99 and loved it, it was a good compromise but not too excessive, it also had better low end power than others and since my main concern was towing I installed RV275 injectors also, BHAF, 4" exhaust and Holley Blue LP, Goerend TC+VB. The outcome was a very nice truck, I towed a lot and sold it after 110,000 miles with no problem.

I put a V5 on my 99 for towing, I like it a lot. Lots of low end power, and makes it fun to drive. I'm not towing nearly as much now, thinking about selling the v5 and putting on a drag comp. There is never enough power.

I have a Power Puck and love the power gain. I gained 2-3 mpg with the puck and haven't had any trouble in 1.5 years.
I haven't had the Smarty nor VA, so I don't know their power. I'm sure the Smarty has more power, but prepare for tranny upgrades.
