Really don't know about the DTT valve body, but I went from a transgo, to a Georend Bros. valve body and there was a lot of difference. Very happy with transmission now.

The Transgo kit was done at the same time as the tranny and BD converter so it is difficult to say EXACTLY what the Transgo kit would do by itself......I can tell you that upshifts are smooth, quick and firm - but not jarring. The lockup apply pressure is significantly higher as is the flow.....this makes the clutch lock up VERY fast with virtually no slip....the kit runs the tranny at a tad higher line pressure and the cooler bypass is eliminated allowing full flow to the cooler at all times - this feature also lets you check your fluid level in park instead of having to shift into nuetral. I know it does some other things that I can't explain as I'm not a tranny tech but IMO, it is well worth the $...I think it cost me about $80 CDN - not sure, it was a long time ago....

Check out SMR transmissions, they make a nice shift kit.

I've done Trans-go kits for years and put one in my 02 truck soon after buying it.
I felt it was a cheap easy way to go. Also , later did the DTt up grades. It took me several tries to get the shifts were I wanted them and also the shift quality the same for each change of gear.
I then built a DTT trans for a friend and we used their - DTT - VB. He has a better set-up. If I was doing it again, and I will, it would simply be a DTT.
They set them up on a machine so there is very little changes needed for the tranny to work correctly.

Diesel Transmission Technology - www.dieseltrans.com
I did the valve body, servo and accumulator and am delighted to say the least about the way everything was set up and the support with questions.
I followed the directions, and hav'nt had to touch a thing. shift points are right where i want them and firm. not bark the tires, drop a driveline firm, but just right. And by the way, I have only seen my trans temp hit 160 once. that was in town driving with 12k. otherwise normal driving is 110-120 degrees.
And no i dont work there or know anybody that does, just a good product.

I did it myself , took about 4-5 hours. Its pretty srtaight forward with good directions. If you have any questions, as i did, you can always contact them while in the process and they'll walk you through it.
