Valet Switch?

How do these work on a 12 valve?

Would this be a good way of limiting the power others can use while towing with my truck, or does it only work in the very high horsepower range of 500+.

Eventually, I will be getting EDM 2 or 3's, and the Dodgezilla Hybrid, and slide my #8 plate accordingly, but all after a SB clutch. Would a valet switch reduce the power so that others, who don't know how to drive with controlled EGT's while towing or driving, can still drive my truck without fear of meltdown?

Thanks,
Chris

Yes.

While towing you will still have good boost for cooling just less fuel for heat.

You do not need 500+ HP to take advantage of a valet.

Chris, the same here on the valet switch, there just real good to have! All they do is block off you boost fuel to the AFC(holds the arm all the way back) the only way to make more power in valet is by adding bigger injectors, DV's ect. I would like to make a sugjestion to swap from a #8 to a #10 plate prior to doing the injectors, I think you'll like it much better.

how can I build one, or where can I find one? Do you just use an electric solenoid, or what do you use?

Jim, I have heard about the greatness of the #10 plate over all else before. What is the difference in torque, Which will make more power(torque) between 1600-2100? You seem to be one of the most knowledgeable people on these twelve valves.

Piers has the valet switches, I like the #10 plate cause you can make it come in were ever you want it with a Gov Arm adjustment.

Ah, I know nothing about this gov arm adjustment, all I can do is slide that plate. I wish I had the knowledge to install a set of 3K GS's.

I know just enough to be dangerous!!

Thanks Jim
