Upgrading fuel line on 12v
#3
I did the math once with a pipe flow rate chart, with the stock hose setup you would have to be getting less than 1 mile per gallon at 60 mph to have restriction. Reversed math gives a maximum speed of 280 mph at 10 mpg before restriction takes effect.
What a pain if you could go 280 mph but had to fill up every 35 miles.

Remember on the fuel calculations that your now figuring in what the truck is doing, you have to push fuel forward as it's trying to push backwars from the truck being forced forward.
So here is some math for you, with my stock fuels system I can pull it down from 33 psi to 5 psi, now at the flip of a switch I'm at 50 and pull it down to 30-32, If I start racing then I'll add a second pump on the aux system, what's nice is I still have the total stock system and everything works, best of both worlds.

Good to know info for this thread!
On the Hasiley's system it uses a different pickup, pump and filter and goes into the banjo bolt at the pump, I'm sure it back pressures some to the stock system but it is rarely on, when I get ready to make a run I'll flip it on, right after the run I turn it back off. I have left it on accidently for say 30 minutes and it wasn't even warm.
