You probably should have gone with a stock stall. A tight converter will add lag on the bottom end. This is probably what you are experiencing. It might help to turn the EZ to the highest level. This will make the fueling come on sooner and get rid of some of the lag.

I have the suncoast trans with the tight converter and it does create a little more lag but not bad once the turbo spools it rips. Are you sure that it is shifting to first on take off?

I know it is set up to lockup in 2 ,3 ,4 gear.I do have my edge turned up all the way and the problem really isn't at takeoff. The problem is when I am cruising ,I have to run out of od Alot just to keep my speed up.My 5er is only 20 feet long and then I have 4 fourwheelers behind on a trailer. It should pull better than that.

Cruising while the TC is in lockup is the same whether it be stock or Goerend. A converter with better fluid coupling should feel like it gets the load moving better.
I can't think of a reason why it would feel like there is less power, unless of course the wife is going to read this thread and you'll say something like "see honey, the guys say I need to add some new injectors to cure the "low" power problem"

NO I wish it were that easy to get injectors.I just thought upgrading my tranny would cure alot more. Now I feel like I need to add more and I don't want to.Well I guess that last part is false.I want more upgrades but I have to do it little by little. Is it possible my injection pump could be weak. I have the walbro but it is a used truck so mabey the pump could be going. I don't have any codes that I know of.

Power loss with excessive egts are symptoms of a dying vp44. I would check the simple/inexpensive items first. Boost leaks or bad MAP sensor are a couple along with codes.
