Upgrade to a hx 35/40
Already searched but..............
I am having HTT rebuild my turbo. A compresser fin has a crack and I have some miles on it. I am going back with DD2's as soon as I get the new head on and I am planning on getting a smarty in the next few months (c'mon snow I need OT). For just a few hundred $ more they can upgrade.
1. Will the 35/40 work well with what I am going have, with or w/o smarty?
2. Egt's, ok empty but on the edge when towing?
Input greatly appreciated, dropping off turbo in the next few day's.

35/40 hybrid should work well for you with Smarty and DD2's. That turbo is putting out 400 hp with Smarty & Mach 4's (150 hp) with no EGT problems that I know of.
Without Smarty it might be a bit laggy & smokey. Can't say for sure... never tried one.
