:UPDATE: Near Fatal accident (Logging truck vs CTD)
Hey guys I’ve gotten some PM's about how I'm doing since my accident last November.
Here's a link if you never read about it
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ad.php?t=91361
Well I'm doing just fine. I'm almost done with my recovery. I do need to get back into therapy since they decided to move a few cities away. I'm about 90% healed, and I still walk with a limp. It takes me a while to get moving in the morning, and I only have about 1/3 the stamina from before. I gained my weight back. I got down to 175lbs and now I'm back to 215lbs.
I need to start looking for a new career. I'm wanting to find an apprenticeship in mechanics or engineering. If someone knows of anything out there in the Sacramento area please let me know since my state disability runs out in a few months. I'm still optimistic of my new life, I hope things work out for the best.
I bought a 2003 CTD from a DTR member in February and I flew out to Texas and drove it back to California. Since then I have put my own personal touches on it but I no longer feel the need for speed so its 100% stock under the hood.
Here's a few pics of my new rig. I cant say enough good things about everyone who took such good care of me, I truly am a lucky guy.

congrats on the recovery. good thoughts for the final 10%!!
I work in Sacto, so I'll keep an ear to the ground for opportunities. What's your background/knowledge in from your previous job?

Man.. I know the guy that bought your wrecked truck for parts. That thing looked horrible.
Your new truck looks sweet!!! I love the rims.
Glad to hear you're doing better.

WoW Dan, guess I missed that post. From the picts it's pretty amazing how the cab area held up. New truck looks nice. If the aches and pains bother you consider moving to the desert. 125 degrees of dry heat will loosen you right up!

I am completely understand your recovery process, as it is slow and can be frustratating. My dad is getting over a bad snowmobile wreck(hit a rock at 60mph) and had a shattered knee. People don't understand sometimes the amount of time it takes to recover from these types of trauma.
Good to hear you have a great outlook on your future, stuff like this really makes you depressed/question a lot of things in your life. Nice looking 3rd gen man, and if you ever are down south around Modesto, shoot me a PM before the trip and I'd be happy to hit up some lunch with you.
