unplugging map sensor

i have the van aaken v5 and was wanting to play around a little. will unplugging the map give me any more power or smoke? is this bad for the vp? thanks

unplugging it will give greater amounts of smoke at the low end because it fuels with no boost. it will seem to have more power even though it doesnt really it just adds some to the trottle response. if your wanting to have fun yes unplug it you will enjoy it

Does this work with a smarty or only with boxes that plug inline with the sensors?

i think it will run bad with the smarty, boxes are designed to plug in to the map and when unplugged they just fuel earlier and harder.... at least the edge comp, not sure about the van aaken yet

no you cannot unplug the map senser with just the smarty you have to have a box of some kind. if you do it will throw a code and on my truck i did it before i had the chip put in and it greatly decreased performance the truck would hardly move! so unplug it if you have a box if not it will throw a code

yep it gave me a MAP low voltage...something like that. i didnt like it drove it bout two miles and pluged it back up. it did nothing.
