unpluged my Van Aaken today

Well, not today did it a couple of days ago. I just can't afford it with fuel at almost 3.00 a gal.
For some reason, I just can't keep my foot from running the skinny peadle through the floor all the time. Once I unplugged it, it became such a bore to drive I am actually getting quite a bit better gas milage.
Does anyone know, can I leave the MAP sensor plugged in and just remove the plug from the test port or should I leave both pulled?? I am kinda afraid to get the overboost code with my elbow in, but I was not sure if it was gonna do anything to leave the MAP hooked up.

MAN I HOPE DIESEL COMES BACK DOWN SOME, I HATE PUSSYFOOTING AROUND IN MY TRUCK!!!

My Van Aaken V5 actually increased my mileage. With the advanced timing
and low rpm power boost, I actually need less throttle to get moving than
stock. That combined with the RV275 injectors i'm getting 19 -20 mpg empty.
My old F-150 got 12 mpg.

I thought the MAP connection was the one that took care of the "overboost" code but not sure if it will work w/o test port hooked up. I don't see why it would hurt anything...

....Not if your flooring it all the time , i have that disease too

How do you like your Blue Chip APB box? I want to buy one and
stack it with my Van Aaken. Was it hard to install / hook up ? Does
it give low end power or more upper rpm power.

I am very happy w/ the APB box and it compliments well w/ the Edge EZ. Nice thing about the APB is it doesn't fuel really hard unless you really push the gas, so basically it gives you a nice "kick" when cruising w/o running the EGT's sky high unless you really want to go. Priced well too.

I just realized I didn't answer your question at all .....Yes, it gives good power on both the bottom and top end however I do not think it fuels quite as aggresively as an Edge Comp box. As for install, not bad, connects to MAP sensor (or in your case would piggy-back w/ the van aaken box) and yes, you need to pierce the pump wire. Piercing the pump wire is a little bit of a pain just b/c the wire is so darn small to work with. Other than that, you need to run the supplied wire(s) through the firewall and your done.
