So I couldnt run a set of 4's with this small set of twins? Even with the box on 1x1? The 1.75's I run right now are on a stock turbo and I tow all day with no issues. The whole deal about 275's being as big as you can run sounds real strange to me, my injectors are much bigger! But hey, thats what Im on here for, because I'm not sure!

Just for kicks I put in a set of old 100rwhp, I still pulled 1200 deg's at, empty. Yes its down but I was quite supprised. Maybe I'm just getting old or just have a bad turbo. I try put in a set of stockers and see how I like them . I just put in a set of killer ddp 250rwhp injectors, egt's are wow, lower boost, I could only pull 50'sh boost. No kill mid range like the machers have. Its down 50rwhp by the seats meter and the torque is off. I've talked to Lenny about doing either a usable set or a set that I can race with. The truck shakes, rattle and rolls. It sounds almost like a top fuel wagon. Lower smoke than the machers which is nice.

I don't see why not? Like I said earlier, I',m running a set of 155hp BD injectors vs a set of 150 hp Mach 4's. Roughly equivalent. I have the BD twins and don't get over 1200 degree's towing a 15k gooseneck. I consider this an outstanding towing set up. BTW, I usually tow on 2 on the Edge Comp, Smarty on 8, and TST on 1. I've bumped them up and and still no real egt issues.

They are not all that small. Well matched and computer designed for 500 hp.

I think you could run Mach 4's with some compromise on the box setting and being careful in the mountains. Sure would be a blast when not towing...if that's you goal!!

With Mach 4's and the comp on 1x5 you should be at about 400hp. The BD twins will handle that without a problem. Now with the box on 5x5 that's another story. With Mach 4's and the twins I have on (see sig), I dyno'd 565hp (uncorrected), with the comp on 5x5. A smaller set of twins would get a little toasty at that level. I think with a 6sp you would be fine towing with a bigger set of twins. It's up to you of course. The Mach 4's are an awesome injector. Good choice going with them. The BD twin package is a nicely put together set of twins, and with Mach 4's and a six speed, you'll have the big rigs envious when you hit the hills.

I am thinking of looking closer at the BD twins as they are a complete kit and I hear they are designed well and good for towing. I would like to run at least a Mach 4 with the comp turned on 1x1 and stay cool. Would this kit be able to do that? Also, what is the spoolup like with this kit and others? And would I be able to run a small set of twins like this temporarly with the small injectors until I could get bigger ones or will it not spool them? My plan is to make a bad tow rig that is still a blast to drive when unloaded. Thanks for any input!

Our 02 Truck is 520hp to the ground on #2. We struggle to get it over 1200deg even when towing 8-10k with it. The truck runs 12.50s at 105mph. The injectors we are running in it are our 155hp injectors. This twin setup has dynoed over 800hp on a customers truck. Now that wasnt totally clean at that number, but it will flow to 600hp clean. You will be very pleased with them. One other plus is that they come with a factory Borg Warner 1 year warranty.

How hard is it to piece the set together my self using a HT3B as the bottom turbo? And any rough estimates on cost for this setup? Would I be able to use the stock 12cm housing that is on my 35 or would I need a 14cm.? Just looking for some generall info, I like the BD twins but I am on a bit of a tight budget. Any help would be great. And thanks alot for the info so far!

You egt's sound pretty good. I have bigger turbo's than your and my egt's are over 1500deg's. I haven't tried mach 4, I guess that I might have to. I have only laid down 677rwhp run a couple times. My turbos have gotten pretty toasty as they are nice and rusty looking. My last turbo was a dark bronze color and didn't spin well. Are your number pre or post turbo? Mine are pre-twins on the ATS exhaust manifold. I'm not scared to run the 1500 deg's, just don't want to tow anything with that amount of heat.

How would guys compare spool up of say HX35/HT3B twins or BD twins to say a truck with an HX35?

Still more lag then the HX?

But quicker spooling then the PS62 or HTB2?

I've only drove a BD twin truck (A BD-Christain's) with a set of 100rwhp injectors in it. It was strong but nothing like my ride. The spool-up of a bd, yes its pretty fast but the mid range to top sucked. My HY truck with the same injectors spooled as fast but the mid range kinda sucked. Mine the spool-up sucks, but the pull from 10 psi to 70psi, its a ride well worth the spool-up time. After 10psi of boost my truck would have been two to three trucks on the BD wagon. OK Christian is now running 600'hp, but back then it wasn't so good. Sucks that I couldn't make the BD dyno fest, there's alway the fall.
