I figured it would work upsidedown.
How about wastegates, can you get away without an external one? just run the hx35's the way it is, then duct the wastegate line for the bottom turbo into its output side, which goes to the hx35 input?

ok, the more i think about this the easier its getting. im sure ill run into my fair share of problems tho. so i need a ht3b, 4" elbows, 3" elbows, 5" to 4" downpipe, oil line, studs and that about covers the big stuff right? what about clamps and boots and such. will i have to move the battery?

ht3b - 500
hx-35 - 300
studs - 450
downpipe - ?150?
elbows, oil line - 100ish
boots, clamps, misc. parts - 300 - 500
so i think this is do-able for 1800-2000 bucks right?

I did not see anyone answer this question. I believe you will have to give up you EB and go with a 5" downpipe/exhaust......and while better.....no longer cheaper than that $1500.00 single you mentioned!

I am running a set of PDR towing twins with a set of head studs and thats it. The kit does come with a couple of blow off valves that is set at 50lbs. I have put 3k or more on this setup and so far it works beautifully. As far as doing the head..that would depend on how heavy of a foot you have
My setup has seen 50lbs maybe 6 times since it was put on.. and three of those were when it was on the dyno. The last time it seen 50lbs was when a rice burner wanted to play..

I've heard of guys keeping the brake with twins. The hot pipe fabbing gets a LOT more involved because you are fabbing from the brake outlet to the big turbo. That, and you are welding to a cast brake housing, which is tougher. Space is at a premium as well.

Keeping the brake is the main reason that a lot of guys stick with a '35 or '35/'40 hybrid on top of their twins. Well, and it costs less to use the turbo you have already.


If it were ME, I'd look VERY carefully at twinning a towing truck. If I *did* twin a towing truck, then I'd probably go the route RJ mentioned, with the inline 5" brake

You might be able to do that but it would make life a lot easier if you had an external wastegate.

I don't think that 100 will cover it for cold piping and oil lines.. You'll need 3in or 4in for the cold piping between turbo's, and the 5in cold piping to the filter.. and Add the filter... Also need some adapters from 3in-4in...
