Twins are cooking...(hx35-16 and ht3b)
I changed my hx 35- 12 to a 16 last night....and its much much better. I hooked up my 50ft enclosed car trailer and was impressed. I was passing people up a grade.
I still have higher then I d like egt's undoubtbly due to my timing. I need to raise it to 16 or 17. Pulling the hill with my trailer I was accelerating slightly in 4th (started at a stop) I could hold 1200 degrees @25 psi @60-62 or nudge it up to 1300 degrees @30 psi and pull up to 65-68 . Remeber this is with a 50 ft GN with two roof airs, awning etc...
Its pretty easy to keep egts under 1200 and still go enty fast enough. I past a guy in a chevy pulling a little 25ft ft..probably 15 mph faster then him on the hill, I swear he looked, then looked again as the trailer was going by.
Pulling 5th gear (354's) is much easier now too. I can go up slight grades in 5th at 65-68 no problem.
Going faster would be easy.

I don t know the max boost. I have had it running a grand total of two or three days now. The ht3b is a 26.
I think I ll back my #10 plate off a bit, maybe .030 or so. I m at 2500 ft, and the DA is ussually around 5000 ft. Just for reference, today pulling my trailer it was 95 degrees outside too.

I have a question....I backed the #10 plate off a tad. About 030. I did notice that the housing also slides though? So I slid the housing back too. On a drive the egts seem to actually settle.....yea! around 1200-1300.....
I think alittle tuning with the plate housing and star wheel will do it.
On the down side I have advanced the timing yet.
not much smoke anymore....alittle but not like it was.

sliding the plate back means less fuel... less power and lower EGT... if you're only getting 1200-1300 @ WOT, I'd give it MORE fuel! you can always keep the EGT steady with your right foot, but a quick blast over 1300 isn't gonna hurt.
I peg my 1600* pyro daily!
anyhow, sliding the housing back adds tension to the star wheel... less smoke and slower spool up.
