Twins ????
Im looking to build my own twin setup. pretty good at fabing, should be ok with that part. anyone have any plans or ideas? want to run about 500-600 hp, but I will sometimes tow 8,000-10,000 lbs, so I want enough air to keep EGT in check. Planed engine mods are.....smarty, TST PM3, injectors(?)~125hp, H2O/Meth injection and an a little NOS now and then (RE: ricer, vette, d-max, powerjoke) any help would be greatly appreciated.

It would really help if you were to tell us what kind of truck your running.
Most guys go with a big semi turbo, either an S400 or HT3B, out of a junkyard for about $400.00, and then use whatever they got laying around as a top charger...

Come on guys, help the feller out here.
You don't want me to give him the advice or else he's probably going to, well, it wouldn't be pretty.
Look on eBay for "ht3b" and you usually see a couple. I think that they were turbo's off of a bunch of old Kenworths? They're usually pretty easy to find. The S400's flow around 50% more, but I think that they're around 100% more expensive. I think; don't quite know where people dig those out of.

I fabbed up all my junk. Ht3b off of ebay. I purchased a bunch of hardware from some turbo suppliers http://burnsstainless.com/ I put my stuff together for 300 bucks minus the top hybrid. Do a search in the members galleries for some pics, there are many different setups you can run.

In the hp range that you said you wanted to run, you should not need to use water/meth or nitrous. I would look at doing a HX35/14 on top with a S400 on the bottom. It will spool pretty quick, and be able to keep EGT's down in the hp range you stated.

As others have said, an HT3B from ebay or anywhere for that matter as a primary, and a stock HX35 with a 14 housing as a secondary, plus some SCH10 stainless elbows, 45's and a few feet of straight. Then fire up that tig welder and have at it !!!
No need at all to spend the coin that some people are on kits. If you can fab, do it.
I'll be doing mine in the fall.... To many other projects on the backlog that I need to complete first

What I do is turn the Comp box down when towing, and tow around 460hp, when dry, and ~390hp when raining. At the 390hp level the EGT's max ~900*, and at 460hp about 1050*. On hot days, pulling heavy up long steep hills, at 460hp, the coolant temp will start to climb, even though EGT's are not a problem. Water/Meth and/or Nitrous won't help there (or at least not much).
With a well setup set of twins you can run between 400hp and 550hp, by adjusting the fuel, without have driveability problems. Try to pick a set of injectors that will give you the minimum hp you want to tow with, and then use the box to give you the max. With Don M's Mach 4's I make ~390hp with the box off, and ~460hp with the comp on 3x5, and ~565hp with the comp on 5x5. This was on a dynojet, uncorrected.
Hope this helps...
