Twins?
I am looking into turbo's trying to decide whats best for me and i am thinking maby i sould just bite the bullet and put twins on my truck. So my ? is who would yall suggest for a ready to go twin kit? I saw the Diesel power source one but dont know anything about it but at $3,250 that seems reasonable.

I would check out http://www.sourceautomotive.biz/shop...rbos-89-1.html
They have always been awesome to buy from. I bought parts from them for my last truck that I had twins on. I will be buying the parts for twins on my new truck from them as well.

if you piece stuff together and build it on your own, you could probly do it for way cheeper. i priced building twins (stock top turbo) and i came up with 1800-2000. mostly buying pre-built parts such as hot pipes cold pipes, s400 turbo 76mm, and alot of odds and ends

I've got about $1k into my twins setup including the ht3b turbo. You might need more than a 110v welder for the hotpipe but everything else is just time consuming but very rewarding in the end.

I went with the BD towing twins for a couple of reasons...
1. My time is worth $, i work my a$$ off so don't have alot of time to research and get this piece and that piece and weld this up and do that...
2. The BD kits is complete! No guessing, or piecing together.. now of course this is dependant on what you want to do.. i tow and its my daily driver so i'm not looking to make a dyno queen out of it..i got my kit for 3400.00 and it was worth every penny!! i tow 17k between my 5th wheel and my 30' Scarab boat behind that, with all the boxes off i get 46psi on just motor, egts have never seen 1150 and i can top out any hill at 65 if i want.. I have nothing bad to say at all about the bd kit, yea i would like to see 600 hp.. but i think i'm at my limit with this kit, when i'm not towing i get 19mpg on the highway all day long. I have no issues at all with this kit!.. just my .02

For $3250 buck, I would build a twin set-up and put in a ball bearing garrett for the top. A hot set-up is either a GT3788R over a S475 or GT3788R over a K-31. You can build most of the parts out the local muffler shop. All you need in turbine flanges, clamps and some hoses. After that its about 2 to 3 days of building. Trust me you'll like what you have afterwards. Instant mega boost in a few seconds. The garrett GT3788R has a decent sized internal gate, I've hogged mine out to 42mm and drilled the turbine volute. Its the trick to get the primary to lite-up decently. An external gate will also help.
The stock top turbo (HX-35) will work, just will limit top end power. You'll need a decent sized external gate to bypass the exhaust flow, to really get it to work right.

Hate to ask this, but what do you get for $2.5K. At least new turbos I hope.
If you want to el-cheapo build, go down to you're local heavy truck wrecker and grab a big primary off something, cheap. After that its just exhaust parts and some flanges. Just cross you fingers that you get a decent turbo for the build. I'm getting close to knowing the holy grail for the best twin turbo set-up but I still have faith.Everyone has a different best set-up. I like a primary that works hard after 2k, on a hard wot pull. I don't like a small primary. It works well for controlling egt's for towing. and it has to spool-up decently.
