Chris
A 62/12 with an external gate would be a nice setup. I have a 62/14 using the internal gate, and I like it a lot. Using the internal gate I didn't want to go with anything smaller then the 14.

I have a "test" hill that I use to test low rpm air movement (spool). With the Dodgezilla I had on it a year ago, on the test hill at 62mph it would make 10psi and be at 1000* EGT. With the twins on, same mph, it makes the same boost, but only 950* EGT. This is with 3.54 gears. I am extremely pleased with this! The "spool" of the Dodgezilla was quicker, but the amount of low RPM air movement is better with the twins. In other words at a constant 1700 rpm the twins are moving more air then the Dodgezilla was.

Oh yeah in contrast on the same test hill the large single I had last year, would be over 1100*.

Cool!!

I have a S300 62mm/.7 housing I bought off Ron Allen...I'm gonna bolt that on today and see if it will move enough air and spool OK. Should be great for airflow, but I wonder about the spool of a 62mm wheel in valet (~200hp)

Will probably be a little laggy...but I really have no idea, because even with the box off I'm at over twice that amount!

Actually I just got off the phone with Shane @ Industrial Injection. I think he's talked me into a PS62/.7 Then I'll wastegate it up top to keep thing cool with the switch flipped

The Super B I ran started to light around 1200RPM, and was over 40psi by 2000. As long as it's over 30 by 2K, it'll be fine. Biggest thing will be how high EGT's get before it cools off. I should be fine, I hope.

I'm gonna bolt the S300 on tonight, and see how it does. If it works good, I'm selling the HX40, and buying a PS62 to put over the B2 on the other truck

I have waaayyy too many turbos Even I'm getting confused now

And too many friends with trucks they'll fit

Right now I have:
HX35/40-14 (Blown Up)
HX40-16W
S300 62/.7
B1-2 (Pretty Well Sold)
GT4294
B2

Only 6...there was a time I had over 10, but some were parts.

Chris,

Chris, his brother Mike and his dad have been calling every day wondering when I'm finished with 'his' B1-2. I'm only ~75 miles into the breakin period, but I'm looking at different options right now. The B1-2 works good until I hit 3rd lockup. It lugs too much at 21k GCVW and jumps to 1200F+ so I bark it real good by backing off the go pedal too fast. I need to try that internal gated GT42 right away. I'm cutting more flanges this week, PM me with the ones you need.

Chris.
Not wanting to get flamed, but I doubt that you will be able to tell the difference between the 62/.7 and the PS62/.7. I was told that a HTT and an II PS are the same. The SPS is different, it has a 6mm larger turbine wheel, and spools a bit slower. It only comes in a .8 exhaust. Both types of 62's seem a bit doggy in twins untill you reach about 20psi total boost. The Dodgezilla starts pulling sooner than that. Even the small (57mm ) S300's seem to behave this way. Boost comes up early, but doesn't seem to bring hp with it. Above 20 or 25psi everything is fine. If you decide to get rid of the 62/.7 let me know.

Sorry Ron, not gonna get rid of it

One truck will run it...the other will get a PS62/GT42(OR B2 later)

I need both...I'm fed up with Holsets blowing up on me Everytime I put some fuel through one, it takes a dump! The 35/40 I just blew up wasn't my fault though...the back half of the center section BROKE OFF. There is nothing left except the flange holding the exhaust housing on Must have been a bad one

Pics on the way

Sorry to rehash such a large post but I have some questions and it looks like you guys have some pretty good experience. I am currently gathering parts to build a twins setup HX 35/40 with an HT3B. Can anyone post a picture of the bracket that supports the 3B? Also, does anyone know where I can get a good price (or have a good used one to sell) for an HT3B? Thanks for the help!

I think he means the bottom turbo support bracket. I don't know how to post pics here, but if you want to pm me an email address, I'll take some pictures of mine and send them to you.
