Turnbuckle and waste gate.
I previously had an '01 Ram with cummins engine, 5 spd manual, and edge ez. I remember when I first installed the edge ez I didnt use the included brass 90 degree fitting since it stated that it wasnt necessary. I was impressed with the power but was surprised that I was still only pulling 22 psi of boost. So I decided to install the brass 90 to see what would happen. Well after I changed the fitting out my boost readings were at 35 psi and boy you could really hear the turbo whistle. Well I now have an '02 Ram 2500 , cummins, with an automatic and I have an ez on this truck as well. I noticed that the line on this trucks waste gate is a hard line and cannot be replaced. After looking through a jegs catalog it appears that bully dog and bd make a j hook or turnbuckle kit to close the waste gate. Will this net the same results as the brass fitting on my previous truck? I would really like to know, I plan on installing gauges over the holliday weekend and would also like to install this turnbuckle kit if this is what it takes to get the proper boost readings. Thanks, John.

Yep it's the same thing as putting the boost elbow in really. The J-hooks from Bullydog and BD have a spring attached which holds the wasted shut longer to help it build more boost........but with the turnbuckle it locks the wastegate shut which gets you the most boost possible.
The J-hooks are kind of expensive, when you can go to your local hardware store and get a turnbuckle for less than $5.00.
