turbo trouble

alright guys i just put a 64/14 on my truck last night i knew it was gnna be laggy but if thts just the turbo i think i could get used to it but with the new turbo on with even without my chips on im hittin 1200 degrees on hills and 1000 just takin off real easy i checked the boots and im pretty sure that they are all tight but idk iof you have any ideas tell me cause this thing is pissin me off and it isnt makin the boost i thought it would

What boost numbers are you seeing? Temps are supposed to run a little higher on average use. Sounds a little high though.
Higher temps means higher efficiency and lower amounts of soot buildup, so its not all bad. I dont think theres any damage possible until you get close to 1500F.

and egts r goin to 1600 and more if id let it, actually i dnt think ive even hit 38 or 39

With a big turbo you are always going to have to keep your rpms up to keep lots of air moving. You could also try pressurizing your intercooler to make sure there are no leaks there. If it has a wastegate try pinching the line off to see if you can build any more boost. If you can then adjust the wastegate accordingly to bring that boost number up.

I ran almost an identical setup to yours and you should be seeing more boost than that. I'd see 45 lbs with the smarty and 47 with the smarty/ tst with 150 sticks and that turbo. Either one of your intercooler boots has slipped a bit or the wastegate is opening prematurely.

ya im betting that its the wastegate opening too early because i dont have an adjustable oost elbow i just ordered one, we were hoping if we set the boost around 45-50 lbs itl help it out
