Turbo Needed?

Hey, put the Adrenaline on my truck and it is awesome but im kinda worried. When ever i cram in it i can hit 48 psi boost according to the pod. Is this accurate? My stock hx 35 has the wastegate blocked, im gonna put the stock elbow back in and see what happens. Do you think i need a turbo? What kind? Which ones are safe on a stock head gasket and head bolts?

Hmm... blocked wategate, wire tap box and 150 HP sticks. You want to know if 48 psi of boost is accurate? Yeah, I think it's accurate.

Run it through all the gears with your foot and pedal on the firewall and let us know or put the fuse (elbow) back in the circuit before it blows

If you want that hx-35 to run for a while yet put the elbow back in and regulate the max boost down around 35 psi much past that you will just be pushing hot air or run it like it is and order a new turbo NOW!!!!!!

Yeah it doesn't sound like you need a new turbo nessecarily... atleast not yet. I'd get the studs and might as well take care of the head while your in there. Thats if money permits that is. Once you know that the head gasket can take more, then a new turbo for even more boost.
