Turbo housing and internal difference
I was reading a section on the internet saying there are slight difference in the HX35 stock turbo used on the '94 to 2001 model year.I thought all HX35 are the same from factory? Are there any difference from a HX35 from '94 compared to a 2001 HX35 beside wastgate location?

The 95- to early 1998 turbos had 54mm inducer wheels with a 83mm exducer size that was 8 blades.
Later turbos (late '98 to early '04) have 54mm inducers with 78mm exducers and 7-blade wheels.
That is, if you trust the info on HTT's website.

There were a few different HX35 wheels used. I know the CA models had a different wheel. I would suspect high altitude models may have had the smaller wheel as well. But just a guess.

It seems to be another one of those "early/late" Chrysler midyear changes, like the switch to 24V in '98, the rear discs in '01, and CAD delete in '02, etc.
"Early" 95s should have the wh1c, and the "late" 95s should have the HX35.
Check the MDH sticker in your door jamb.
Also, keep in mind they supply overlap, too--- they are going to use what they have in stock before the switch over. So not all "late" 95s would necessarily have an HX35.
