There are turbos way better out there for 2.6 pulling. Depends what you do with the truck to. You can check out the s465 turbo at Engineered Diesel, they are the way to go for big air but still 2.6 legal. The s366 isnt gonna like 800 hp they claim, it basicly the same as a silver bullet 66 or pro street 66 but no customized the same way.

yea, and its about a third of the price of a ps66 or sb66. depends on what u want to spend

Certainly is, but when it breaks after 2 pulls it wont be. It could also work just fine for as long as he owns it, i just wouldnt buy a turbo for sled pullin unless i know its proven to hold up to the beatings it will get. Im no expert either so im just giving my opion to hopefuly help him get something that will work real good. I like to spend as little as possible but i learned my lesson, thankfully it was with a cheap part but it still cost me 2k in the end. Just giving my perspective.

It's the same borg warner turbo before II puts a T3 exhaust housing on it. They are all borg warner S300s. Those just are not direct bolt-in for dodge trucks at that price.
