turbo to exhaust connection
still in the begining stages of this stuff but how do i know my aftermarket turbo will fit my downpipe. I guess most companies have kits etc fo rthis but what if I buy a turbo out of the classifieds. I don't want a turbo I can only use for an anchor becasue i can't fit it on my truck. Sorry i don't know what exhaust I have it came with the truck.
P.S. I 'm looking for a single I can use in a twin setup later if any one has any suggestions don't think i want a BD setup.

All the 94-02 use the same flange and exhaust. Any turbo thats supose to fit a factory dodge will work with your exhaust. 12-valves use an cast elbow that mounts to the turbo and makes the flange like the one cast onto the 24-valve turbo. It makes them all bolt to the exhaust the same with 2 bolts. on the 24-valve 2 of the studs are in the turbo flange and 2 in the manifold, on the 12-valve they are all 4 in the manifold. You can make them fit on 12 or 24 with just a little work. If you order one new it will have the right set up. Some bigger aftermarket turbos will use a different Down Pipe and they will specify that it will have to be changed. If you buy one used do some resurch and/or ask the seller if it fits the stock exhaust.
