You need more fuel and timing. I can light my Silver64 ayt 1700rpms.
I was able to light my ps62 at 1400rpms.

There's going to be more lag any way you look at it. Running a bigger turbo will make the truck run hotter in the lower rpm range and change the powerband of the truck up a bit. With a super 62 or a cheap 64 I'm not having fun under 2000 rpms, but I can build boost at low as 1400 rpms with either.

You just need to decide where you want the truck to perform best in order to make a good selection. Smaller for better manners around town, bigger for more fun driving up the mountain side. There's always a compromise.

I just bought a II PS 62/12. After a lot of looking and talking, i went with this. It will also serve as a primary on a later twin set-up. But for you, I think a 62/14 will work for you, if your gonna get some bigger sticks. Another option might be that HTT 62/71/13 s/s, but maybe someone else can chime in about that one.

At WOT, but not necessarily at lower rpms around town. The 71 turbine does sound cool. Stock and straight piped my truck would roar through 1600-2100 rpms, but with the 71 turbine on my 62, the truck roars through 2000-3400 =P I missed the exhaust sounds with the 65 turbine and actually bought a muffler delete to try to get some sound back, but the turbo change did the trick.
