Which Turbo

Well I have started the process of gatheing info on aftermarket turbos. I use my truck to tow a 20ft. stock trailer and the family 5th wheel. If I go with a HTT 62 or an II 62 what housing a 12 or 14 or should I look at something smaller. I do like to have fun in the truck as well and it is my weekend driver.

What do you all think?

Looking at your sig a assume you are looking for a turbo for your 96. I would go with the 14 housing.

I think you should go with the 12. I went through the same research, and have found that the majority of people who tow (like yourself) get the 12. I would suggest the HTT because of the availability and ease of swapping exhaust housings (in case you want to try other sizes).
If you want better performance, go with the BD Towing twins. I have a cost breakdown of both options, and if you want I can email it to you.

With a 12v and your mods go with the 12.... Marine mentioned above that HTT offers the ability to swap housing, so does II. These turbos are built off the same base unit and will perform very similiar. In either case you will be very happy.

I should have mentioned it is for the 96. Will the DDP stage 2's provide enough fuel, along with #10 plate adjustment, to light it off?

Not always..... Under normal driving conditions the 12cm will provide lower egts. 12v guys with a mild setup do better with the smaller housing turbos. The 12 and 14 on these turbos is not the same as a 12 or 14 on a Holset turbo. These flow more air, the 12 on these turbos is closer to a 14 on a Holset.

JP is correct. It will also allow for better spool up compared to the 14 housing. Especially towing.

So, an htt 62 with a 12cm is a good step up from the stock turbo?? I am trying to learn more about turbo's, and I tow as well.

Yes, it is a good upgrade from the stock turbo. However, you may find you will want bigger injectors with it after you get it on. The stock injectors may be a little weak. I have RV275's (40 hp increase) and I think they will be fine with the 62/12. I had DDP 95 HP injectors incase I want more.
I don't really know alot about your 12 valve, but that is what I have found with the 24 valve.
