hey guys iam intersesting in buying a turbo for my 01 2500 HO I would like to know what is the most intake manaflod P.S.I the stock head gasket will take. I have the boost elbow in the truck now and i make about 40 psi.

40psi on a stock hx35 is to much to begin with.
With the hx 35 the limit is around 35 or hot air get pumped in also the chance of turbo breakage.
Stock HG is good to around 45psi or 50 if you like to roll the dice.... Head studs and your good to over 60.
HTB2 would be good or even a hybrid if you aren't going to add much more.

boost pressure is not you main concern, drive pressure is, and your turbo is overspeeding and overheating the incoming air at anything over about 35 psi. Even a set of towing twins will not blow your head gasket. Think in terms of airflow instead of just boost pressure.

Drive pressure and TIMING are both concerns. Timing has more effect on peak cyl pressure than any other factor, imo, and excessive timing can take out a HG at only 35psi under high loads.
