Re:TST PowerMax 3 Competition

Hi Kurt,

I may be sorta off the mark here...the truck is a 99 5 speed so I guess its not really a ETC ???, but it seems to inject more fuel than the current ETH pump. ???
Maybe it should be called an ETF.

Anyway, all the runs are prototype injectors we started with last year. Different types, styles, hole sizes, etc, etc.

The fuel lines have been replaced with aeroquip braided stuff and smooth fittings to get rid of the banjos. While banjos are great and the larger ones are better, I like the smooth radius of the slow 90 degree fittings better. Less chance of cavitation. There is a pusher pump but the type and brand eludes me right now. I really like the new PE pumps in principle, but have not tested any yet. Looks like a solid pump though.

Glad you like your injectors....If you like, I can send you something different to try as well. Perhaps a bit more power and less smoke

Don~

Re:TST PowerMax 3 Competition

Thanks for the reply Don.What would you have in mind for more power & less smoke?I need to get my new fuel system on my truck & i am going with the tst pm3 competition then i will see what these injectors will do.I realy like these 4.8s but they do smoke alot ;D.If you think you can get me something that makes more power with less smoke i'll give it a try.One thing about these 4.8s is that they have alot of rattle compared to my dd3s.Rod said that it is the advance in the timing due to the style of the injector..these 4.8s made almost 60 horse & 175 ft lb more torque than my dd3s made with the box off. With my drag box on they realy didnt make any more power than the 3s but my fuel pressure was at 0 psi & was starving my vp44.Hopefuly the power will come up when i get a pump on that will keep up.thanks Don kurt.

Re:TST PowerMax 3 Competition

Yeah those big injectors can make some smoke along with some power We have a newer injector that is smoking less and making slightly more power now. Very good results so far.

Coupled with the TST PM3 or the Edge Comp they are mean.

The cool thing about the big EDM's is the idle is not rough and the smoke can be controlled better under low boost conditions. Now if you wanna see smoke.....just follow behind me at low boost with the hammer down Its gross!

Don~
