Where are you located at? I know here in Missouri you can go to several places and find a low profile in black, I just bought a low profile alumn. box. I got mine a farm supply store called Orschlen's Farm & Home, I have seen them at Maxwell Trailers in Mexico, MO. Let know if I can help.

I know DeeZee makes a low profile in black, you might have to have it ordered in, but it is in their catalog.

Look for United Welding Service boxes. I have a low pro that has a deeper bottom for better storage. You can also get one that goes right to the bed bottom. Mine is brite tread but they said I could get it in black. good construction and only cost $260.

two things, first low profile aluminum = less support for mounting, will crack if you put stuff in it. second painted aluminum diamondplate sucks. the paint starts chipping off and looks like crap. sorry, just telling the truth, if you need to see examples i can get you pics of mine, would not go that way again if i had the chance. maybe the box going all the way down to the bed would be the ticket. i had to build support legs for mine and weld the thing all back together.

I've got a Weather guard that mounts below the bed rails that I really like. Big box that holds alot of stuff. It's black and blends well with my linex. I have a pic of it in my gallery if you want to take a look.

I second the comment on paint coming off. I sold my black one and then got a combo fuel and tool in aluminum. I guess you could try powdercoating or bed liner.

Had a McWelco on my 6.2 under the shell for my tools and it was stronger than the truck itself.
Don't think if they make aluminum though.
