truck did better than I'd hoped on the dyno!

535hp/1196tq

it's got more torque in it... he was braking the dyno and pulling the truck down to 1300-1400 and then letting go. the truck isn't really going wild on boost at that point, but on another run when we tried to break 1200, he pulled it down at about 1900 and brought it down to 1600. The truck started pulling through it and about 1700rpm, the boost needle took off and it slipped the clutch.

still, not bad for a lowly OFE to hold all that

once I get a clutch in it, I'm going for 600... it's getting water/meth, but if push comes to shove, I'll go bigger on the sticks or DV's and tag it with some nitrous... I'm also on the hunt for a good deal on a silver66.

current combo:

original 215 pump, AFC travel mods, homegrown plate, 4k GSK, DDP4's, SPS62, ported head...

runs good, but it needs more

WOW! Peter build a good clutch doesn't he! That's why all my clutches come from South Bend Clutch

Good numbers Forrest!

sure does... I'm gonna be on the horn with him soon.

I was looking for 525, was going to be happy with 500. I can't imagine what my old truck would have felt like with this combo! (single cab, 2wd, manual everything... LIGHT)

I don't think so... especially w/ some drugs It's probably close, but with some more fuel, it'll do more as-is. It'll be toasty though.

I would like to play with a silver66 and see how it does... I'd hold onto the 62 for all around cruising around, road trips to colorado, etc.

It sounds like with an even better clutch you might be closer to 550.

What kind of egt's were you seeing on the dyno Forrest? Sweet that the OFE is still holding at that torque. I been tuning the torque down a bit on mine to save the FE. My 590 run was at 1034 torque.

Awesome man! Thanks for the help again with the AFC mods, hopefully I can ring-out a few more horsepower before the next dyno I wouldn't doubt 600 even with just the clutch change and water/meth with some huge nozzles. You got a PM.

Forrest, Nice meeting you .... and nice #'s!
Might reconsider your answer, however, based on the smoke you put out! It never stopped till you backed off the throttle.... and it engulfed the house behind you!
And that was on a 45* day!

hmm... seems pretty clean to me on the street!

Ron, I'm sure that FE will hold more than that I wasn't really watching gauges on the dyno. I'm betting it was 1700ish... I'll just touch 1600* going from 2000-3500rpm in 6th on the highway at 60* outside

Why waste time with a 66?
If you want 600+ on a single with diesel only GET an Aurora 5000 from ATS.

A buddy of mine dynoed 621 on #2 with one...

I want drivability, and I don't want 600 on diesel only... I just want 600

here ya go Roland, once the turbo lights, it cleans up pretty good IMO... he was pulling me down to like 1300-1400... the run where he pulled me down to 1600 a couple times and let the turbo load up, it slipped the clutch... on this vid, he's got me pulled way down and then just let it drive out of it... turbo fired up over 2000rpm and cleaned up the smoke considerably

on the street, I don't lay into it so hard at low RPM and I'll usually roll into it below 2000, so it's actually a pretty clean setup
