Why would my truck cut out using the 3000 tune? At about 40 to 60 when you get on it it cuts out. Let me know what it might be if you have the same problem.

 

I had the same tune on my XZT+. The only issue I had was no high-idle. On my Adrenaline it cuts out under acceleration btw about 1800 and up. I haven't been able to get my pc to recognize the connection for other downloads.

 

My Adrenaline cuts out at about 2500rpm on any tune. I'm running the Comp tune. Sounds like it's hitting the rev limiter. Does it with any tune.

 

not sure what the different definitions of cutting out are but:

i only had one issue while running the xzt+ 3000 tune. i was in reverse and then gave the throttle a stab and then released right away and it dies on me. not sure what it was or if it was related . . . one and only time i have experienced this though.

 

Yea it just feels like the fuel gets cut off. Might truck will kind of jerk.

 

Hmm, doesn't sound right to me. Have you tried re-flashing with another tune, then back to the 3000?

Back when I used to run the XZT+ on my Dually, every so often it would act like the switch is in the stock setting (even tough it wasn't). So I would have to flip it back and forth to get it work. Never had any cutting out issues however...always ran good for the little HP box it was.

 

yea I have ran different tunes but the 3000 is the best kick in the pants.

 

Is it only the 3000 tune that cuts off for you? If that's the case I would suggest you have a glitch in that 3000 tune. Cause really that's not even 2000 RPM (overdrive lock I'm assuming)...it shouldn't be cutting out anywhere near that low of RPM...

 

same for the Adr. No way near the rev limiter @ 2k rpms. It seems to only do it w/od locked out, under acceleration and when I reach 2k. I'm going to try and work w/it this wknd.

 

I had the beta tune loaded and when I floored it from a stop the engine would die just after the the turbo lit. Sometimes it wouldn't do it and the next time it would. I would always get p1691 afterwards.

I switched to the 3k tune and it seems to work fine although once it died on me doing a boosted launch.

I think it might be a glitch with the XZT+ or maybe its the vp44 acting up.

1691 points to the VP44, but in my case it was the xzt+. After quad sent me a new box 2 years ago, I have not had the issue.

 

Sounds interesting, I wonder if they would do anything with my box . I just seam to have it on the 3000 tune.

 

Mine did it with all tunes. Luckily my box was still under warranty.

 

I emailed Quad and Jeremy told me not to use the 3000 tune.
