truck is cutting out
my truck feels like it is cutting out when I get on it. Could that be my injector pump? If anyone has any ideas Let me know. I do have about 110,000 on my original vp but I have never had a code.

I havn't run the codes yet. I just changes my filter like 2 weeks ago. when I changed the filter I checked the pressure at idle and I had 20 psi. I need to check at wide open throttle. I will have to rig up a gauge to watch while I drive.

Check your wiring to your LP. Mine was doing that and had to put a relay inline with the OEM connector and run new wiring to the Walbro. The 392 doesn't like to pass fuel when it isn't running. Check it with a fuel gauge. I would bet that's what the problem is....

Randomly my truck will cut out, (always on long trips pulling a trailer up a hill) I will find fuel timing error code. I get no light because it burned out. A remaned vp-44 is in my future, who knows when it will die but I need to start saving for it!

so I already have a relay on the hot side but you are saying put one on the trigger wire side. Also why did you have to run new wire. I have 12 gauge wire running to the pump. This should be plenty big enough.

My truck was cutting out and running horribly at random times on the highway. The connection from the OEM LP was not the best and kept losing the electrical connection. I spliced a wire from the OEM LP to a 12V 30A relay (the trigger) and then had the Walbro 12V connection go from the battery to the relay to the pump. Just put new wire in there to make sure there were no other problems. 12ga wire should be fine. Sounds like what you have is the same, though....

I went on a trip yesterday to the little sahara sand dunes. I had three wheelers on my 16 ft trailer. It never cut out once. I pulled some pretty good hills and it ran real well. So on my pump I just spliced into the original trigger wire to the pump. Then I ran it to the relay. I have a wire coming off of the battery to the relay and then from the relay to the pump. So you are saying run a new trigger wire.

No, your setup sounds like mine. Just running the pump off the relay instead of running it directly off the OEM LP line. You want the trigger wire spliced off the OEM LP wire since you then retain the 30 second LP bump feature and the pump doesn't continually run right when you turn the key on causing hard starts.... I would double check that OEM line splice, though, since it is hard to reach and get a good take off from....

Update. So I tested the fuel psi and I am in the 20-23 range. It will only do it if I have my xzt+ on the highest mode. What do you guys think. Could it be the appps or the IP.

try re-setting your apps. disconnect your battery turn key on to drain all power let sit for 30 min than re-connect your batt, turn key on slowly press throttle pedal all the way down and back up, start the truck and drive

If all connections are good don't rule out the VP. I had a XZT+ also. Mine began cutting out just as you describe and did it after being on the hwy for awhile and sometimes within in town. Never threw a code either! The electronic board can begin to short out and cause the loss of power/dead pedal. I also reset and installed a new APPS and confirmed that was not the issue. Changed the VP and no more problems.
