Well it seems the dodge auto tranny is catching up with me again. I had it rebuilt in early 2005 and now all of a sudden it has developed an issue in between 1st and 2nd gear. As you accelerate and it tries to shift up to 2nd it jerks trying to shift only to, I dunno "slip" back into first. I find it a little harsh to be a slip and find it odd because it was asymptomatic previously it came on fairly quickly but has gotten worse to an extent. It will jump up and back down till you give it a good amount of throttle to coax her into 2nd. To make it even more odd, it will shift fine sometimes. I took it back to the shop and since its out of warranty they ran a diagnostic check thinking it was a selanoid and said they would have to take it apart to find out what was wrong. Screw that! Anytime they crack into the tranny its gonna cost me big I have found out.

I have decided to let the truck be as it is and just drive as little as possible. In the mean time accumulate parts to upgrade her. No point in putting dodge parts back in place...why fix something that has always been a problem right?

I have been searching the forums lately and it seems that DTT is a common choice for TC and VB upgrades as well as Goerand. In terms of price who is the most competitive, I am trying to live on military pay here (E-3 ) Also will I be able to get away with just upgrading these two items.

I also have an edge juice/attitude but rarely use it. So I won't be beating the tranny to death.
