My trans parts & labor were much less than 4 grand.
I went with an Aftermarket (Dave Goerend) Torque Converter, Valve Body, Gear Drum, and billet strut, and it was still much less than 4 grand.
And it WILL hold some serious torque.

I've got to admit I would look for a second opinion at that rate.

Call Dave Goerend. Similar cost and a top shelf transmission with 100,000 mile warranty and lifetime on the converter. The guy is first class and you can take his warranty to the bank. I love my transmission. Final cost will depend on local installer but initial cost should be less than you posted.

Did you call DTT? I don't know their exact pricing but this sounds a little funny to me. I've read a lot of good things about goerend too, but my personal experience is strictly DTT and even though the price seem high I would do it again in a heartbeat.

ok well i called Goerend today and he wants $2,850 for the trans 600 for a billet input and 600 for i like a billet intermediate or something like that so that $4,050 and he said like 450 to ship to Ct well to day my dads trans went in his 97 so i said how good of a price can you do on two of then and hes like i can take 200 off each of them.
The dealer wants $2,484 for my dads 97 and $2,835 for mine but they said they will give me a good deal of i order them from dodge but i dont want a stock trans in my truck so tomorrow im going to call DTT and see how good they can do
If not im going to see the guy that i got that estimate from and see how good he can do on two of them if i take them out and bring them to him

Going off of your mods in your signature, you don't need the billet shafts. It'll save you 1200 bucks, that's 1200 less that you have to pay back. Dave builds his tranny very inteligently, he builds it soft enough to not break anything, but firm to hold the power.
