Now your the first person I have heard Talk (type) Bad about that pump...ITs still gotta be a whole HeII of alot better than a Factory Lift Pump..
Oh Well It is an ongoing test for me,,On a Daily Driver.
With My Luck on this truck I have nothing to loose...

I put a Carter p6401HP on mine as a pusher with the OEM still working....not for long, the pressure was over 30# and the top plate gasket blew on the OEM pump.
I took the lift pump off and am running with the new Carter only, it gives me 20-22# at idle, and between 17-18# at 75mph. WOT is 15#
I wired it with a relay triggered by the original pump wire, and used a 20a breaker with #10 wire from the bat terminal in the relay/distribution box.
Carter was $108 (including S&H) from Summit, relay and CB were about $10.
