Trans temp guage question....
How are most of you installing your sender for your guages? Are you tapping into the pan or getting a bunch of brass fittings and tapping into your line out of the trans to the radiator? I'm just trying to choose the easiest route which right now seems to be tapping into the line but I don't want to have to buy 15 pieces of brass to accomodate the sending unit. ???

Re:Trans temp guage question....
The way I installed mine was to use the Tranny Temp line from an earlier year Auto tranny.
It's a direct replacement, and does not involve "Cut and Adapt".
It already had a fitting for a temp sensor.
You'll probably loose a couple of quarts of tranny fluid in the process. Pick up a couple or three to be prepared.
I think this is the part # from Dodge CH05011244AA.
Someone jump in here if I'm incorrect.
Just remember to pull the Check ball out of the end of the line before installation. [easy job]

Not sure what the part # is, but that's how mine is as well. Get the replacement line, it's well worth it. You will have your temp probe in the best possible place to monitor your tranny. I had it in the pan until I got my upgrades, there's quite a difference!

Tony

OK,,,,,,,,,
I'll be the odd ball here. I went to the NAPA store and bought a brass "T" and two compression fittings for a total cost of under $10.00. I installed the "T" in the hot-line-out line and it's been working fine for over a year. ;D

Re:Trans temp guage question....
Is that direct replacement MOPAR part just a new trans line with a fitting in it for the temp probe? That does sound like it would be easier than piecing together a brass T setup. I really dont want to drill a hole into my pan either..

Thanks for the replies..

Re:Trans temp guage question....
Yup.....Just disconnect the old line.......(take a warm bath in tranny fluid, Keeps the skin so touchably soft), screw in the new line(hint: tranny side first ), add your temp sensor (I added mine before installing), top off with fluid (you did remember to get fluid before you started :, and hook up your sensor to the guage wiring.
