Tranny vb or shift kit or whole thing?
OK, I put the 275s' in with the smarty and the truck runs great! I have been told that this is the limit with my turbo, hy-35, so i will live with it for a while. Now the tranny, it is holding well at this time, once it locks it does not slip at all, of course unlocked, it slips as it is supposed to. I have 120K on the truck and hate to waste money on the tranny at this time in its life. What I am toying with is this, would it be worth while to do a transgo shift kit now, since it needs a fluid change any way, and then in the future just get the hole thing rebuilt with vb and tc? That way all the new stuff is also done in the tranny as well? For $85 it may buy me some time. I use the truck as a daily driver and tow a snowmoble trailer a few times in the winter.
Thanks for the help!

On your tranny question, just do the shift kit for now. If you do a VB or TC and smoke the stock innards, you'll contaminate the new VB and TC and kiss that $1,000 goodbye. The shift kit will bump up the pressures and hopefully keep things from slipping, until a complete O/H. Thats what I'm doing anyway.
