This set-up has been on the truck for over 70,000 miles (truck has now over 90k)) and still not even the first sign of any problem. That is a very recent pic BTW The line has even been removed and reinstalled when we put the TC and VB in the tranny.
I realize Bill has a very good point, but I feel that if the compression fitting hook-up is done correctly, it should last as long and maybe even longer than the rubber line. The cost for doing it with the compression fittings was less than $10, with all the parts bought at NAPA. I always take a peek at the T-block and connections whenever I'm under the hood to look for any signs of weeping or wetness.
Whichever way you do it,,,, it is a must for these trannies to be monitored, especially if you tow. With a gauge monitoring the hot line,,,,,, you will be amazed at the way driving conditions affect an automatic.

Does anyone have a picture of their installation of the Mopar line with the temp fitting built in? I am looking at installing one on my 02' and was wanting to get a good idea of what I needed to do before I started.

Pretty much all that's needed to do the install is a couple of quarts of ATF, a drain pan (gonna lose about a qt when you pull the line off), and a decent set of wrenches.

Mooseman - Was just rereading your comments about temps in traffic. Something is not right. (missed the fact that you have a Suncoast tranny, when I first read it). Have always heard good things about Suncoast. Never driven one but I can tell you my 02 with a DTT has spent several hours in stop and go, summer, Dallas traffic (90+* OAT) and never gotten much higher than 220*. Summertime, red lights..I never see higher than 160*.
With Amsoil in your Suncoast, I would expect the same. Did you do full rebuild or just VB & TC?
