Tranny temp line

I've got a deal going with my dad right now. If I can finish my custom gauge pod and get my dash painted and reinstalled and get all of my gauges working by the end of the month, I can take the Corvette to prom. The last gauge I am getting (I'll order tomorrow) is the tranny temp gauge. I want to use the tranny temp replacement line from Dodge. Anyone have a part number for it? How hard is it to install? Will I need to add any tranny fluid after I do this? If so, how much would I need to add back? Where is the line located on the truck? Thanks for all your help.

Re:Tranny temp line

I dont know the part # but I remember it being called something like a 618 line w/ guage port. It was optional on one of the early years. Sure makes for a clean install. About $100.00 if I remember correctly.<br>Tim

Dodge part # 05011244AA

Ed

Edit:
I lost about 1 1/2 quarts of tranny fluid doing my line swap.
Make sure the tranny is cool before you start.
Best to let it sit overnight and tackle the job 1st thing in the AM.

Blue keep me posted on this as I want to take this step also. If you do the install take some pics if you can of the line placement.

Re:Tranny temp line

You can guarantee I'll be doing the install. I won't let anyone touch my truck. The only thing I can't do myself is swap engines. But that's only because I don't have a cherry picker. I'll take pics. My friend and I are ordering the gauge tonight and as soon as I get it, it is going in. Thanks yall.
