If you can find an infrared temp reader somewhere, it is great at diagnosing gauge problems. My gauge is within 5 degrees! With all of that power breaking, your tranny is definitely warm enough. try running a ground wire to the frame.

You'll have to take it apart to seal it, but not if it's the compression part of the tee that's leaking. The compression part threads require no sealant, it isn't the threads that are making the seal, but they do leak when over tightened. Basic rule on compression fittings is finger tight and one turn with a wrench. If the compression part is leaking due to over tightening the metal ring that slips over the pipe (ferrule) is usually distorted and must be replaced.

The lighter idea sounds good while you have it apart.

Will you be coming to Claremount for our get together the 24/25 of July. There will quite a few diesel heads there and between us I am sure we can figure out the problem. I will be coming up to VA for that event and I will be bringing my bag of tricks, to include a infrared temp sensor and a power probe (like a test light but much better) and a multi meter. there are a few things we can do to test your set up.
A couple of things you may want to check is ohm out your wires maybe a bad connection? 2 Do you have 12 volts power? 3 Did you put thread tape on the sensor or adaptor when you screwed it into the T block? That could mess up your ground.
Another thing you may want to do is take out the sensor, hook the wire back up and hook a jumper ground wire to the threads of the sensor and run it to ground on truck. Take a small can of water and heat it up with a propane torch. water boils at 220 and put the sensor in the water and check the gauge.
If you have a multi meter check your ohms bewteen the wire stud and the sensor probe when it is cold. Then after you pull it out of the hot water, you should see a change in the ohm reading. If the ohm reading dont change you have a bad sensor if it does the problem is somewheres else.
Hope this helps, I wouldn't do anymore power braking it's pretty hard on the trans and those tires cost to much to be leaving rubber in parking lots or where ever.
Hope to see you in Claremount.
Good luck
See Ya
Chris

Papasmurf- I would really like to go to clearmont this year but i am on the other coast i am up in WA so it would bea bit of a drive. but take pics and post them i would like to see what poeple got going on!
after about 3 hours i figured out that i wasn't getting a ground from the grounding wire that i installed to the fuse panel ground under the hood. i moved the ground the frame and now it works perfect. no problems at all. aside from that small leak from the upper compression fitting. it from the threads where it goes into the tee fitting so i just have to take it apart and seal those threads. i really appercaite all the help fellas thanks alot
