tranny slipping?
Ok heres the story, I havent gotten anytime too install the DTT auto sitting here, and i am not going too get any amount of time in the next 4 or so months. But i need my tranny in the truck too last, but lately i am not too sure.
I currently have a 2200 pound slide in camper in the back of my truck (for when i am at work i can live there). But lately, if i am trying too pass someone on the highway, or just get moving a little quicker the truck gets a surge, or almost like the tranny is slipping at about 2400-2700 rpm. This happens in 2-3-3TCL-OD. Doesnt seem too happen in 1st. I am wondering if the old tranny is gonna pop on me or maybe if the comp(still in ez mode) is starting too go on the fritz. Or maybe this is normal with the amount of wind resistance there actually is with the camper.
BTW, tranny fluid is 10,000 miles old, is starting too dis-color, and doesnt have the classic "burning toast smell".

sounds like what mine was doing with 120,000 mile on it. I would shut the comp off and take it wasy. Shoot if you have the tranny I would try to find someone to put it in, the problem will only get worse and you dont want a tow bill on top of it if it does let go. You roll the dice.
