Words of wisdom, Soulezoo.

I think twins are the way to go BUT there's definitely a chance to get ripped off, and keep in mind that the drastic increase in complexity associated with twins considerably increases the chances of something going wrong.

OK, everyone has supported my gut feeling. As far as why he wants to switch to a single, he told me he used his truck too much to run twins, he didnt have enough fuel to push the twins, but seems to me it would be more feasible to have a mild set of twins than a single that is a little more laggy. I was looking at the fact that I would have to put up ~$650 for a new HX-35, $450 for a 3-piece manifold, and if I wanted to utilize the twins have to get the head O-ringed and studded. I still want twins, but if Im going to have to front this much money, I would rather sell my SB outright and put the funds toward an all out kit. As said earlier, an HT3b can be had for 1/3 the price of the SB, so I believe Im holding my ground on this one and keeping the SB. Thanks for the advice and support guys.

I'd beg to differ. Jason Burton of Northwest Custom and Myself developed the 40/3B set up and it was my idea to do the 35/23cm 3B set up for the towing crowd. There was actually two different kits for the 12v and 24v's originally. I went up and helped Jason develop a universal kit for both trucks.

I know of at least one person that prefers a single over twins for high hp but he doesen't tow anything. Its used for more of a toy and is a DD. He says the single spools faster but he had a large set of twins.

Heard you the first....second.... AND third time!

I would never have anything but twins.... been spoiled.
Those twins..... maybe not??
Since you asked...I'd hold out for S300/S400's. hard to beat.
