Trac bar and steering stab

I just bought a aftermarket trac bar and a steering stabilizer kit for my 2001 diesel 4x4. I was wondering if any body has this kit on their truck and if it made any difference in the steering. I would also like to know if it is a hard job to install the kit. I was looking at the parts that come with the kit, Like the stabilizer bar and the trac bar bracket, I work in a machine shop and I know i could fabricate these parts myself, for alot less money. Has any one every done this. I am going to try it to see if it works. Let me know

Well....that depends. A little more info would be helpful, like maybe.......what brand?

The Stabilizer bar and bracket are made by steelbuilt. Their web site is www.steelbuilt.ca. The tracbar is a factory part.

Very easy to install, and as long as the rest of your front suspension is in good shape (ball joints, steering box and tie rod ends). it'll make a huge difference in the steering.

No major problems installing... fairly straight forward. I added both at 30,000 (DSS) and 40,000 miles (Track Bar Kit), as preventative maintenance. I expected little noticable difference. I was very surprised at how big a difference they made, even at fairly low mileage. Both are excellent additions.
