towing with tc lockup switch?

ok with a 95 2500 4x4 auto bone stock, i was wondering if anyone knows what would be the best way to tow around 10-12,000 lbs. would putting in a lockup switch on in drive with od off be the best way, or not locking it up? also would it kill that trans in od in the flat sections? seems like too many rpms going 55 with the od off. i'm going to install the free tc lockup and planned on using it after getting into 2nd or 3rd.

Yep, its fine to use, but I wouldnt use it till I was in 3rd while hauling a load with a stock tranny. Also, I personally think Overdrive is fine for the flats. Heck I hauled about 13k lbs up a few hills the other day in overdrive with no problem. Im sure some people will tell you it will roast your transmission, but I go to overdrive whenever Im not lugging the motor, and have never had a problem. But stick to using the lockup switch in 3rd and 4th, and you will be fine.

By the way the tranny will lock up in third if you have the od switched off.
