Smile Towing+Stock turbo+Big injectors??

Can I tow 5K in the mountains with 5spd, intake, 4in exhaust, Comp turned to 1x1, and Jammer 5's? Found great deal on Jammers, cant justify F1 injectors.

I used to tow with an ez and dd2's but the truck had a 35-40 hybrid. It towed great with decent pyro temps. When I went to 2.5 mach's there was no way to keep the pyro under 1300 with a trailer on it. That would be going from 70 horse injectors to 115 horse. You might get by but you might have to just turn the comp off. When towing a little extra fuel can be alot. Good luck.

No you will get way too hot.... You can step up to a good 62mm trubo and be just fine though.

DD2s with an EZ and stock HX35W-12 can hit 1450 degF pulling my 16K GVWR 5th wheel - that's with a BHAF and 4" exhaust. Of course, that's with an HO engine, not an SO. I have to drive by the pyrometer when towing.

If I unplug the data port plug on the EZ, however, max EGT drops back to around 1300 degF towing.

So about 75 HP injectors is all I can get away with, plus i would have to turn the comp off. Is 1x1 better than off? I heard that just timing from 1x1 equals lower egt's.

I just bought some RV injectors, I'm going to flow test them before I install, just to see how well they are matched.

he's not trying to pull 20,000 lbs.....dd5's and a comp and a stock turbo will be fine on low settings, but you must pay attention to egt's...i pulled with that set-up for two years hauling anywhere from 7,000 lbs empty trailer weight to 26,000 lbs fully loaded fifth gear in a sixth speed....egt's ran 800-850 on flat ground and on hills they never got above 1175.....
