Towing with Mach 2's and stock turbo?

Will this work?I will turn the comp box off and just use it as a boost fooler while towing.I know alot of guys use the 1.5 or 1.6 sticks for towing with a HX-35 but don't know if I can get away with running 2's.I am also considering the jammer line, the jammer 3's are a 100hp injector were as the mach 2's are 105 I believe.I am thinking the F1 injectors will probally run cooler. And can a mach 2 smoke pretty good if you wanted it too?Any ideas would be great. Thanks

With a HO and stock turbo, 100hp injectors will probably be toasty, especially when towing.

Had Mach 2's...they will blow heavy smoke when you lag the engine. With Comp Box off, or real low, I don't think you'd run too hot towing. WIth box & #2's you will definately need more air...and more exhaust (4").

I will have a 5 in. straight exhaust before I put them in.I don't tow extremely heavy very often but it will be towing average weight 80% of the time.I was hoping to get some injectors without having to get a new turbo.I do know that I want bigger than the rv 275 injectors. So I was thinking 1.6's or 2's.But I don't want to melt her down.

I'd think you'd be running pretty hot. With my TST PM3 on level 6 (60 RWHP) I can hit 1300* pretty easy on a warm day.

I bet the guys on the Towing/Hauling/RV forum would have some comments. I'm wondering the same thing, as injectors are in my plans sometime this year.

What are the 1.6's rated as hp wise? All I see on the website are 1.5 or 2.

The 1.5 will phase out over time and the 1.6 will take its place.

Less EGT and smoke with a 1.6. Slightly more power. Perhaps 5-10 HP.

Towing with any large injector: Can become a nightmare if you are driving by the pyro. Pyros can, over time become inaccurate and give false readings. This means you might thing you have 1100 EGT when you really have more. I drove by the pyro and did so for years when towing and never had a problem, but changing the probe out periodically is a good idea.

Will the 2's be way too much for a towing application,Don?

Depends on weight and altitude, but in many cases a 2 would be too much.

With the HO engine I suggest a 1, believe it or not it will add about 80 HP and tow very well. Great fuel economy and good temp control. They allows you to keep your foot on the pedal and not slow down to control EGT with heavier trailers.

Don, what has your experience been in regards to how long probes can last before getting out of whack? Thx
