For towing, #10, or #6?

I have a #100 and it requires too much attention. I don't race or pull, just tow long distance. What's the best for me, #10, or #6? And why?

I've tried both for towing and #10 in about the center wins hands down for hardly ever having the egts exceed 1200°.
I don't like having to drive by the gauge when towing.

Thanks Infidel; Guess I'll have to find a #10 plate for less than the 4200 average price I'm seeing. Already ground mine down to #100, so can't grind it!

Have a #10 plate and love it for towing because even towing up steep hills lock in OD at 50 mph it never goes (pyro) over 1100 . i don`t have to watch gauges and I like that.
