Towed 18,000 lbs with EMDs 2+
I just returned from a trip to Mi.
I have a 2001 HO 6 speed with 4:10 gears. The truck and camper and us, my wife and I weighed in at 18,000.
Just alittle more info on my truck. I have gauges, a SB Clutch a Edge EZ and when not towing stuff an TST PM3. I had DDII and recently bought a set of EDMs 2+. The claim of reduced smoke I don't know the new injectors seem to smoke as much as the DDII. The truck does seem to pull stronger.
We traveled up I77 through West Va and she pulled the hills great. I did not need to take her out of 6th unless caught up in traffic, we pulled the hills at 65+ running 26/30 psi boost and 11/1200 degrees.
I think the EDMs ran alittle warmer than the DDIIs I had in her I recently pulled the same hills with the same camper to T.I.M. and saw about 1100 on the EGT running the same route.
The FASS system kept the fuel PSI at no less than 15/16 on the hardest pulls.
I can tell you this that once unhooked to the 5er and running about 45/50 if you want to pass someone just mat the "go" pedal and count 001,002 and let up cause you will be running around 90 mph.
Now I just need to figure out how to make my wifes truck pull as good as mine.
See Ya
Chris

I would expect Mach 2+ injectors to run a little hotter at least. Keep in mind these injectors are AT LEAST 30hp more than your DD2s were.
Me? I'm skipping the M2s in favor of M3+. I don't tow
