tow hooks or bumper
anyone have a set of tow hooks on the front of your truck? if so how did you get them on, cuz i cant see where there is enough room for them. even considered an aftermarket grill gaurd, preferably one the maintains the stock bumper, but dont know which ones can support tow hooks. if anyone has any ideas it would help out alot ( near got stuck pullin the wilderness across the sand). that would have sucked bad cuz the people i went with had powersmokes....

You can pick up a set of stock hooks at the dealer. They aren't cheap but they bolt up to the frame underneath the bumper and are very stout.

i got some tow hooks from a chevy (from a friend) for free. my dad welded another plate on top of the existing plate and weldedit to the frame. i can still take the hooks off now, and they work fine.

Re:tow hooks or bumper
Hello
I have the set from the dealer, I have a sport model and I had to cut the air dam. I installed them in a afternoon, they bolt on with 1/2 inch bolts. I think they are pretty heavy duty.

I don't know is you have seen this but what some folks are doing is mounting a reciever up front. That way they can move trailers or use it for recovory reasons.

See Ya
Chris

Instaed of tow hooks I installed a front mounted hitch reciever on my '01. I found a Hidden Hitch for $95. Was a lot better deal and more versatle than Mopar tow hocks @ $125.

Part numbers:
Drawtite # 65003
Hidden Hitch #5017
Reese # 13503

Both the Drawtite and Hidden Hitch are easy bolt-ons, require simple trimming of the air dam, and are rated at 500 lbs tongue weight and 9000 lbs pull. I've not seen, or have the load specs on the Reese.
